We know when an arepa or mofongo is made with a lot of love—there’s just something about it. But we needed more than just our words to prove it. 

So, we ran an experiment: A Michelin-starred chef and a MasterChef winner stepped into our Whirlpool kitchens to go head-to-head with home-cooking families. 

The challenge? A blind taste test where a family member had to choose the best dish. 

Spoiler alert: Our hypothesis is correct. Six of seven people picked their family’s cooking. Because no matter the technique, love is always the secret ingredient.
